About Me
My name is Alexis Stevens. I grew up in Maine and studied Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Maine before moving to New York City in 2007. Later, I earned my MBA from NYU Stern, focusing on Operations, Finance, and Social Innovation..
My career began in NYC’s farmers markets, where I helped local growers expand their reach and built programs to make fresh produce more accessible for low-income families. That work sparked a passion for building better food systems that still drives me today.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve led procurement and supply chain strategy across the food and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry—spanning meal kits, manufacturing, and retail. My experience includes integrating sourcing and operations across brands like FreshRealm and Blue Apron, managing hundreds of ingredients and packaging SKUs, and building resilient supplier networks that balance cost, quality, and sustainability. I’ve worked at every level of the supply chain—from small local producers to large-scale national co-packers—developing systems, processes, and partnerships that make operations more efficient, transparent, and adaptable in a fast-changing market.
What I enjoy most about procurement and supply chain is the people—suppliers from around the world, cross-functional colleagues, and partners working toward shared goals. I love the collaboration, problem-solving, and sense of community this work creates.
I currently live in Brooklyn, cook often, bike the city, and enjoy everything NYC has to offer.
